Kicking off Enchanted Cinemas ‘Music & Movies: The Connection’ Summer Season at The Gonville Hotel in collaboration with repmusic, we are bringing you the two time Oscar winner Ray in the beautiful gardens of The Gonville Hotel.
Legendary soul musician Ray Charles is portrayed by Jamie Foxx in this Oscar-winning biopic. Young Ray watches his 7-year-old brother drown at age seven. When he loses his sight at the age of 9, his hardworking mother (Sharon Warren) urges him not to feel sorry for himself. He rises through the ranks of the Seattle jazz scene, struggling with drug addiction and infidelity while on the road. Supported by his wife (Kerry Washington), Ray Charles redefines soul music and inspires a generation.

WHEN HARRY MET SALLY (15) Music & Movies: The Connection @ Gonville Hotel

The next date in our ‘Music & Movies: The Connection’ festival, Enchanted Cinema in collaboration with repmusic presents When Harry Met Sally.

This ’80s Rom-Com classic stars cinema legends Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. Can men and women ever just be friends? Come and join us for one of the most iconic films of all time in the beautiful Gonville Hotel.

In 1977, college graduates Harry Burns (Billy Crystal), and Sally Albright (Meg Ryan), share a contentious car ride from Chicago to New York, during which they argue about whether men and women can ever truly be strictly platonic friends. Ten years later, Harry and Sally meet again at a bookstore, and in the company of their respective best friends, Jess (Bruno Kirby) and Marie (Carrie Fisher), attempt to stay friends without sex becoming an issue between them.

“When Harry Met Sally is a beautiful, brainy, touching and lilting romantic comedy that should touch the heartstrings of lovers and those yearning to be in love everywhere.” – Hollywood Reporter.

AMÈLIE (15) Music & Movies: The Connection @ Gonville Hotel
Aug 22 @ 6:00 pm
The next date in our ‘Music & Movies: The Connection’ festival, Enchanted Cinema in collaboration with repmusic presents Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s iconic artistic masterpiece starring Audrey Tautou.

Amélie is a fanciful comedy about a young woman who discretely orchestrates the lives of the people around her, creating a world exclusively of her own making. Shot in over 80 Parisian locations, acclaimed director Jean-Pierre Jeunet (“Delicatessen”; “The City of Lost Children”) invokes his incomparable visionary style to capture the exquisite charm and mystery of modern-day Paris through the eyes of a beautiful ingénue.

“This film is filled with airy whimsical charm the way that a chocolate soufflé is filled with air. Audrey Tatou is just right as Amélie, a perfect gamine in a Lulu haircut.” – Nell Minow
